The annual risk of dying in a road accident while driving for business is significantly greater than the risk of dying as a result of all other workplace activities. About a quarter of all vehicle miles traveled annually on Britain ’s roads are for work purposes (Excluding commuting) There are an estimated 3 million company cars on the roads and roughly 1 in 3 will be involved in an accident each year. A staggering 20 fatalities and 250 serious injuries involve drivers on work related driving every week!

Drivers and vehicles play a significant role in any company’s activities and operations. The link between costs and profits because of this are obvious, it is therefore important that not only vehicle maintenance forms part of your costs but the drivers need maintaining also.
